Terms of Reference (ToR) for Account Manager



Position: Account Manager  

Department: Account/Client Management Team

Reporting to: Account Director 

Duration: Permanent/Full-Time

Introduction:

This document outlines the multifaceted roles, responsibilities, and expectations for the Account Director at Encore Media.

1. Key Responsibilities:

1.1. Client Relations and Retention:

Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, building and nurturing long-term relationships.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance client satisfaction and ensure client retention.

1.2. Sales Leadership:

Drive the sales process by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.

1.3. Client Acquisition:

Actively prospect and acquire new clients, understanding their needs and aligning services accordingly.
Collaborate with the sales team to generate leads and convert them into profitable business relationships.

1.4. Strategic Account Management:

Develop and implement strategic account plans for key clients.
Ensure the successful delivery of services and solutions to meet client objectives.

1.5. Public and Media Relations:
Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with the media, industry influencers, and stakeholders.
Oversee the development and execution of public relations campaigns to enhance the company's image.

1.6. Team Leadership:

Lead and inspire the client relations and sales team to achieve collective goals.
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members for their professional development.

1.7. Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal teams, including creative, production, and technology, to deliver integrated solutions.
Facilitate effective communication and coordination among teams to ensure client satisfaction.

1.8. Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare regular reports on client relations, sales performance, and project statuses.
Conduct analyses to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic adjustments.

2. Qualifications and Skills:

2.1. Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Relevant professional certifications are a plus.

2.2. Experience:

Proven experience in client relations, sales leadership, and account management.
Demonstrated success in driving sales and achieving revenue targets.

2.3. Sales Acumen:

Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful client acquisition.
Understanding of the sales process and ability to lead a sales team effectively.

2.4. Public and Media Relations:

Experience in developing and implementing public relations strategies.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with media and industry influencers.

2.5. Leadership:

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
Experience in setting and achieving strategic goals.

2.6. Strategic Thinking:

Ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans for client relations and sales growth.
Analytical skills for assessing market trends and opportunities.
