Terms of Reference (ToR) for Creative Head at Encore Media

Position: Creative Head


Department: Organizational Management

Reporting to: CEO, COO


Duration: Permanent/Full-Time




This document outlines the combined roles, responsibilities, and expectations for the Creative Head at Encore Media.

  1. Key Responsibilities:


1.1. Creative Vision and Strategy:

  • Develop and articulate a compelling creative vision aligned with the organization's overall goals.

  • Formulate and implement comprehensive creative and strategic strategies to enhance the brand and achieve business objectives.


1.2. Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and inspire the creative and strategy teams, providing vision, guidance, and mentorship.

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment within both the creative and strategy departments.


1.3. Brand Identity and Consistency:

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the organization's brand identity.

  • Ensure consistency in messaging and creative elements across all channels.


1.4. Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and lead the implementation of organizational strategic plans.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate creative and strategic efforts.


1.5. Content Creation and Innovation::

  • Drive the creation of high-quality and innovative content across various mediums.

  • Keep abreast of industry trends and technologies to bring fresh and cutting-edge ideas.


1.6. Client Interaction and Presentations:

  • Interact with clients to understand their creative and strategic needs and vision.

  • Present creative and strategic concepts in a compelling and effective manner.


1.7. Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the creative and strategy departments' budgets effectively.

  • Allocate resources efficiently to meet creative and strategic goals and objectives.

  1. Qualifications and Skills:


2.1. Educational Background:


Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Design, Fine Arts, Marketing, Business Strategy).

2.2. Experience:


  • 8+ years experience in the industry.

  • Experience in strategic leadership roles. 

  • Proven success in leading creative and strategy teams and delivering impactful solutions.

2.3. Leadership and Communication:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.


2.4. Strategic Thinking:


  • Ability to think strategically and align creative and strategic efforts with organizational goals.

  • Visionary mindset to drive innovative strategies.


2.5. Brand Management:


  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining brand identity.

  • Ability to ensure consistency in messaging and creative elements.


2.6. Content Creation:


  • Demonstrated success in driving the creation of high-quality and innovative content.

  • Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of successful creative projects.

2.7. Strategic Planning:


  • Experience in developing and executing organizational strategic plans.

  • Collaborative approach to integrating creative and strategic efforts.

2.8. Client Interaction: 


  • Strong client-facing skills, including the ability to understand and address client needs.

  • Experience presenting creative and strategic concepts to clients.


2.9. Budget Management:

  • Experience in developing and managing budgets for creative and strategy departments.

  • Efficient allocation of resources to meet goals.
