Terms of Reference (ToR) for Tech and Development Lead at Encore Media 




Position: Tech and Development Lead

Department: Tech and Development

Reporting to: CEO, COO

Duration: Permanent/Full-Time

 

Introduction:

This document outlines the roles, responsibilities, and expectations for the Tech and Development Lead at Encore Media.

Key Responsibilities:

1.1 Technical Leadership:

Provide technical guidance and leadership to the technology and development team.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements, ensuring the team remains innovative and forward-thinking.

1.2. Project Management:

Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects.
Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

1.3. Team Management:

Lead, mentor, and motivate the technology and development team.
Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment to encourage creativity and efficiency.

1.4. System Architecture:

Design and maintain scalable and robust system architectures.
Collaborate with the team to ensure technical solutions align with project requirements.

1.5. Technology Stack Management:

Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and frameworks for development projects.
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the chosen technology stack.

1.6. Quality Assurance:

Implement and enforce coding standards and best practices.
Conduct code reviews and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

1.7. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

Work closely with other departments, such as creative, client relations, and sales, to understand project requirements and provide technical solutions.
Collaborate with project managers and ensure effective communication between technical and non-technical team members.

2. Qualifications and Skills:

2.1. Educational Background:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

2.2. Experience:

Proven experience in a technical leadership role, with a track record of successful project delivery.
Demonstrated experience in managing and leading development teams.

2.3. Technical Skills:

Proficiency in a variety of programming languages, frameworks, and development tools.
Strong understanding of system architecture and design principles.

2.4. Leadership:

Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Ability to motivate and guide a technical team to achieve project goals.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
